Colophon 1.3 for Joomla

27 August 2006

Colophon is a publishing term which refers to a page where information regarding the creation of a publication is placed.
Colophon for Joomla! automatically creates a page on your site (which can be linked from any menu) that lists all the components, as well as only the published modules and bots in use on your site.

This component was developed with two main goals:
-To give credit to Third Party Developers, provide a way of cataloging add ons in use at any particular site and help spread the word on those add ons we use
-To provide a way for visitors who use Joomla! to find out how certain features are accomplished (Finally, an easy answer to "How do you do 'XYZ' on your site?")

Features include:
-Full front end language support (English, Dutch, Spanish and French language files provided)
-Full back end language support for the About Colophon page (English, Dutch, Spanish and French language pages provided)
-Link to authors' website
-Hover over Info icon to see details of the component, module or bot
-Click on the authors' names to open your default email client and automatically address a new message, with the program name in the subject line (Authors addresses protected from spambot harvesters by a simple cloaking method)
-User editable 'preamble' (in language file)
-Automatic generation of site copyright information
-Joomla credit and copyright info in page footer with approved logo (also user editable in language file) SchoolastechWorks
